I love this quote shared by Jeff Ikler:
“One of my favorite authors, Greg McKeown, noted in his weekly newsletter:
‘In order to have focus we need to escape to focus. Here is how to do that this week: Open your calendar and find every empty time slot you have over the next few weeks and reserve them for time to talk, think, explore, relax and dream. This is a small step to take back control of your life.’
How often do you take time to reflect?
I find that most people would rather receive a mild electric shock than sit in a quiet room and reflect for 15 minutes.
I thought you might enjoy this podcast where we discuss how this question relates to becoming the teacher / leader who helps develop the best in students / staff.
